At the leading edge of green building performance

Performance matters. Higher standards of energy and environmental performance are increasingly demanded by corporate leaders, major tenants and government regulators.

Few new buildings achieve high performance. Most building renovations and retrofits do not take advantage of today’s best practices, costing more than necessary, and still not achieving their conservation potential. High performance buildings require full integration of best current design standards, operational excellence and occupant participation.

Ontario Realty Corporation has embarked upon a comprehensive program of energy and environmental improvement for Ontario Public Service (OPS) buildings.

In 2009 the Canada Green Building Council launched GREEN UP, an innovative program to improve performance in administration buildings, offices and K-12 schools.

The Greening Multi-res initiative allows MURB owners to continuously assess and improve the energy and water performance of their buildings.
